Glass Art - Sculpture & Wall Pieces
SCULPTURE
I have lots of fun playing with sculptural pieces. I enjoy breaking and "bending" glass pieces and reconstructing them into "flowers", "marine life", "baskets" and other imagined objects.

I have lots of fun playing with sculptural pieces. I enjoy breaking and "bending" glass pieces and reconstructing them into "flowers", "marine life", "baskets" and other imagined objects.
- "Floral" & "Marine Life" Series - I fuse and slump glass pieces and solder them together with chunk glass as the base of support. The pieces are embellished with sandblasting, torch fired glass beads, wire "stems" or "tentacles," and/or decorative soldering.
- "Basket" Series - I fuse the glass and then in a second and sometimes third firing I slump the piece into deep molds or fiber blanket. Often the "baskets" are embellished with sandblasting, beads and wire and/or fused glass pieces and yarn.
WALL PIECES
- "Spirit Dancers" Series - Glass panels, bowls and plates in this series embody a spirit of joy. Figures, cut with a glass band saw and fused into the glass, twirl, jump, romp and dance with delight.
- "Diversity" - The seven tiles hang horizontally along a wall at eye-level. They represent a cohesive group, yet each has its own character, properties and "essence" that make it unique.
- "Quilting in Glass" Series - I cut art Glass into "fabric" shapes, glue them to a base, and grout them into place.
